No entrepreneur can succeed without a strong network of support. But what exactly is a strong network? Strong networks are influenced by graduates from top colleges and employees from top companies. Unfortunately, not all entrepreneurs have access to this.
Diverse entrepreneurs such as Black, Latinx, and women entrepreneurs who are not located in coastal financial centers are less likely to have these connections. This means that they have less robust networks to draw upon for capital. It also means they have fewer people to draw upon for advice, customers, talent, and professional development. This lack of connection between entrepreneurs and key influencers is called the relationship gap.
In this experience, you will be matched with some of the top diverse tech startup founders in the country through a series of conversational sprints. Each diverse entrepreneur will have a chance to meet with you one-on-one to make the most of your time and attention. These brief networking sessions will allow these entrepreneurs to ask you important questions about their ventures and to make meaningful connections. This experience will allow you to give valuable advice or make introductions to others in your network.
